What is BlackCat SCRM?
BlackCat SCRM (黑猫SCRM) is a Windows desktop app for teams that serve customers on many messaging accounts at once. It runs many WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Facebook Messenger, TikTok Messenger, Zalo and X accounts in one window, each in its own isolated session, and adds translation, AI auto-replies, an assistant, bulk messaging, contacts, quick replies, notes and local chat backup.
Which platforms does BlackCat SCRM support?
WhatsApp (including WhatsApp Business), Telegram, LINE, Facebook Messenger, TikTok Messenger, Zalo and X. Contacts and bulk messaging currently support WhatsApp and Telegram. TikTok Messenger, Zalo and X open as their own web pages with unread counts, pop-up alerts and message sounds; translation, quick replies, notes and AI replies aren't available on them yet. Does it run on Mac?
BlackCat SCRM is a Windows desktop app. There is no macOS version at the moment.
How does translation work?
Turn on received-message translation and outgoing translation per account, or per customer. Received messages appear in your language; when you type a reply, Enter sends the translation and Alt+Enter sends your original text. It supports 65 languages with AI, Google or Lingva routes, and falls back to Google automatically if an engine fails.
How do AI auto-replies work?
Create a knowledge base from text, links, files, audio or video, Google Sheets or an API. The AI learns it and replies to new private text chats on accounts where you turn auto-reply on. You set the reply style and a daily limit, and the AI hands off to a human when the knowledge base doesn't have the answer.
Can I save chat messages and files to a customer's notes?
Yes. In WhatsApp, Telegram or Messenger, right-click a message, photo, video, voice note or file and choose "Save to notes". It appears in that customer's notes with who sent it and when, and you can add your own note to each item. Saved items stay on your computer and are never sent to the customer.
Can I use bulk messaging for cold outreach?
Bulk messaging is meant for customers who have agreed to hear from you. Messaging platforms restrict unsolicited bulk messages, so keep to opted-in contacts, use a sensible sending interval and follow each platform's rules.
AI points
Do I need my own AI API key?
No. AI requests go through the BlackCat server and use your plan's monthly AI points. You can add your own API key if you prefer; requests made with it do not use points.
What happens when my AI points run out?
Translation switches to Google automatically and AI auto-replies pause until your monthly points reset or you top up. Top-up points never expire.
Backup & computers
Business includes 100 GB cloud backup and Enterprise includes 500 GB, shared across your computers. In Settings → Cloud backup, upload manually or every hour while the app runs. On a new computer, sign in, download a recovery point to view conversations, or download and import notes, knowledge bases, contacts, bulk templates and recipient lists. Restart to import, then sign into each messaging platform.
During the cloud backup trial, the shared trial safety limit may pause uploads before your plan allowance. Local files are retained. Only archived messages and saved attachments are included; platform sessions and API credentials are excluded.
Where are my chats backed up?
In a folder you choose on your own computer. BlackCat SCRM archives chats and downloaded media every hour while it runs, and each account gets a .blackcat file you can open on another computer with BlackCat installed. The backup can only include history and attachments the platform's web version can load.
How do I move to a new computer?
Install BlackCat SCRM on the new computer, sign in with your BlackCat login and log in to each chat account again. Open old chats from the .blackcat backup files. Starter and Pro allow one computer signed in at a time; Business and Enterprise have no limit.
